Pattern Perception
To create this pattern, I copied the blue wheel and the tower to create the pattern. I resized and rotated these.

Response to Computing in Architectural Design by Yehuda Kalay
I found this article to be very informative and interesting. The article started off by explaining how computing aids have been used in design throughout ancient history; such as a compass or something more abstract like the golden circle or the Vitruvius man. The article goes on in detail about computers and their role in both design as well as daily living. I was surprised to learn that a computer could analyze or create floor plans based on the needs of inhabitants. Currently the computer is a vital tool, or “assistant” in the design world and can aid in many everyday things such as drawing or drafting. Perhaps in the future, drafting by hand will be entirely obsolete and it will be entirely done on the computer. What I found most interesting about this article, was the computer as inhabitable physical environments as proposed by the architecture machine group at MIT. They proposed things such as building skins, temperature control et cetera. In the future, maybe all analytical thinking will be done by computers; perhaps the computer will be more like the interior designer or architect and the person will be more like assistant.
